Being a more compassionate person

Robbie at the Stanford bookstore keeps generously sharing his feelings about the book. I'm sure that all of you who write or aspire to, can appreciate the feeling of gratitude when a reader tells you that your words have touched them. We struggle so much with our writing and with the ego required to believe that what we say has some value to others. If we write with a sense of responsibility to ourselves and in service to others we are humbly awed when they tell us that our writing does have meaning for them and that they want to share their discovery with others. Thank you Robbie!

This passage from the Gospel of Thomas helped me to write my first book.

If you bring forth what is within you, what you bring forth will save you If you do not bring forth what is within you, what you do not bring forth will destroy you
