Mindful Japan

My beautiful students arriving home after a week together on a Mindful Japan pilgrimage to Kamakura. In the words of one student: “This trip was genuinely more than I could have ever asked for. The amount I learned about meditation, mindfulness, and Japanese culture was beyond my imagination. On the last day as we were leaving to head home, I felt sad at first. However, I felt very warm, grateful, and at ease having realized I just spent a week in Japan with incredible people and surrounded by such warm people. I learned on this trip to focus on the moment, and try to make the most of it, rather than worry and think about what if’s. So instead of feeling sad, I decided to take this trip as a lesson that amazing things happen in life, and so much learning can happen, and there is more to come. Likewise, I should share these experiences with others and encourage them to embark on such journeys. There will be more incredible experiences in the future, and I’m so excited to take what I learned from this trip and incorporate it into my daily life."
